Tanks
EWSG provides specialty and cost-effective tank and basin cleaning services to wastewater treatment plants and related facilities throughout the Southeast U.S., and has experienced teams dedicated to tank cleaning services.
Service Overview
Our crews have worked inside a wide variety of tank types, including sediment tanks, digesters, aerators and other structures. The company’s highly flexible teams work closely with clients to coordinate cleaning schedules and minimize downtime for facility operations.
Problem
Various tanks and basins employed in the treatment of wastewater are usually online 24/7, with few chances to be cleaned because it’s never an easy task to remove critical processes from service. However, these large, hardworking containers are not only subject to the same chemical and physical battering all wastewater structures receive, they also experience buildup of grit, rags, algae and other substances over the course of time.
They can rapidly lose functionality if their surfaces are not regularly cleaned of any of this buildup, which could take them offline for a great deal longer, and without benefit of a scheduled outage. Usually, the grit to be cleaned from the bottom is compacted from long periods under heavy liquid loads, and will require some time to clean, so our crew lead will consult with you regarding best times to take the tank offline according to your processing schedule.
Solution
Our operations managers assess the extent of cleaning required, then assemble a team of experienced, knowledgeable technicians in the particular type of services needed. They are versed in best practices for safety, effectiveness and efficiency in returning your freshly cleaned asset to productive service as affordably as possible.
Result
Once your newly refreshed tank or basin is back online, it is returned to peak capacity and optimal processing performance, bringing your facility back to full productivity you can count on. You’ll have the peace of mind of knowing you’ve helped maintain the performance and extend the life of your valuable tanks and basins.
Tools and Methods
You’ll be asked to drain your tanks ahead of time, so the settled debris can harden enough to allow our technicians to safely walk on/in it. Our professional technicians, trained in confined space entry and work and fully outfitted in required PPE, will team up for safety and efficiency as they bring ultra-high pressure hoses and nozzles into your facility’s tank or basin. They will survey the geometry of the tank and measure the depth of material to be removed before deciding where to begin blasting the debris off the tank sides and bottom. They will work in a circular pattern, starting at the sides and bottom edges, jetting the debris down into the center and decanting it off to our combination trucks, which will dispose of it where you have instructed them to.
